Reader, Last time you heard from me, I was heads-down at my 9-5 wrapping up some work before the holidays. I needed to put in some extra hours so I had less to come back to after the holidays, and I succeeded in that effort 💪🏻 Once the weekend hit, I was able to take a breather, and let me tell you, Social QA Bootcamp has been heating up. One of the students not only completed their automation project, they also made their first LinkedIn post! I had so much fun reviewing both projects before they were finalized. >>> Here's Ryley's post if you missed it While conducting 1:1 feedback sessions, some great improvements to the course came out of his feedback: ○ Playwright Project & LinkedIn Post channels in the Telegram group, so students can share solutions ○ Video content for the CI/CD module to help visual learners I also created a separate repo for the Weight Tracker app you'll be testing in the course, so I can break it however I want without harming your experience if you're using the Production app. And the sales page is looking fantastic right now, partially thanks to Ryley for offering to design the banner at the top.
If you have any interest in logo designs for your own venture -- it's not free -- then reply to this email and I'll pass the information along to him.
And more is yet to come prior to this launch hitting your inbox on January 1: ○ Audio dictations for each lesson via embedded Soundcloud audio players ○ Video content for the automation modules & Cursor tasks ○ Intro video for the course (in need of a re-recording) I'm going to be honest with you, I underestimated how much time it takes out of my day to provide a high-quality experience for my students. So I'm no longer offering 20 total seats for this cohort. I'm not offering the bonuses to 4 people anymore. Here's the new situation:
My waitlist has already eaten up 5 of the 10 available seats. The VIP seat is still available. Right now the page is disabled, but on January 1 at Noon (Central Time), the page will open again (mark your calendars). You'll have a chance to get into the course and make 2025 an incredible year for your QA Automation goals. Here's what's in the course, to give you a sneak peek at the sales page: I'm so excited to offer this to you. I didn't know how well this would do when I launched it, but it seems to be a hit. I hope you get to partake. Most of all, if you celebrate, I hope you had a lovely Christmas and for the rest of the year, I hope you reflect on how far you've come this year. And if you're a big "New Year's Resolution" fan like me, reply to this email letting me know 1 goal you have for 2025. The email machine is back up and running again, so you'll get an email every day (weekends included for this week, since I'm on holiday break and we're mid-launch) 😉 Cheers, Steven |

Reader, I was in a Space today on 𝕏 where me and other tech nerds were giving our predictions for AI in 2025. Not how most people spend their lunch break, but I had fun. So it gave me an idea: what do you think will happen? I'd love to know. But first, let me tell you a few of my ideas: Health People will rely more on AI to help them eat right and lose weight. Apps that use AI are already able to auto-calculate your caloric needs customize your workout routines based on prompts.I don't have...
Yo. I didn't think I'd have to send this email for at least a few more days, but here we are. Social QA Bootcamp is full. Sold out. Last seat was taken at 7:06 AM CT today. That said, you better believe I'm already thinking about the relaunch 🔥 If you tried to buy the course after 7:06 AM today, you were met with a waitlist signup page. I just updated it to include information about what's next. >>> Sign up for the next cohort tldr; I'm adding API test automation and test data management with...
Reader, The easiest path into QA is from within That's what I'm going to start telling people who ask me how to get into QA. Yeah, obviously you need the skills too, but that's a given at this point in the game. 2025 is gonna be rough. But remember, I started in Support. After 2 years of learning web development (HTML/CSS/JS/React) and failing to get a web development job. Because I was working as a shift manager at Walgreens. Why should they trust me to do the job? I was barely getting...
